I believe that all prayers are answered.
When I watched the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy on TV the day after, it looked unreal. My imagination couldn’t get wrapped around houses washed out to sea, so many people displaced, the World Trade Center looking like Niagara Falls or the widespread destruction. The pictures were unbelievable.
Behind every flooded area or power outage lies a story of victims. Their lives have been changed. As our hearts overflow with sorrow and concern for each one’s well-being, we may feel as though our prayers wouldn’t be big enough to make a difference.
Yet, I have found that regardless of how big or looming or devastating a human problem seems to be, or how many miles it covers, there is a divine, infinitely caring Presence that begs to be witnessed. That’s where we come in. Acting as a volunteer Witness for the Presence makes an enormous difference.
Watching TV news with one horrible story after another, my thoughts turn to God, the divine, healing Presence which each victim is in desperate need of. Here’s what I do to start the healing process within my mind & heart as an active Witness, positioned to override the problem. You can do this too.
Picture the Presence with each of the victims.
Picture the Presence with victims, wherever they are and whatever their experience is at the moment and within their sea of negative, fearful emotions, as they, no doubt, are wondering, “How long is this hardship going to last? Will I be able to get my feet back on the ground and start over? Will I receive financial aid or help? Can I do this? How can I possibly get through this? What about my family and loved ones?” Picture the Presence, even though there may be heartbreaking losses that stretch miles & years within each of these victims.
Picture them being comforted by the Presence.
At this very place of human devastation, picture the Presence and know that It is accompanying each and every person with comfort, enough comfort to eliminate the unbearable feelings of loss and devastation. Picture them with enough comfort to bring back a sense of confidence that things will, indeed, work out.
Picture them being guided by the Presence.
Picture the Presence operating as systematic, divine guidance, which is intelligent and more perfect than any human can imagine. So that looking back on this time, years from now, it is obvious that the divine guidance was not only effective and efficient, but it also led to a new life in the quickest and best way… a life even better than before.
Picture them safe in the Presence.
Picture the Presence within each one’s life, offering safety, & peace, while guarding every step forward with a constructive re-build, whatever that may look like.
Picture infinite angels accompanying each one.
Angels guide us intuitively causing us to be blessed and advantaged, no matter how extreme the situation. Each victim has no less than a gazillion angels with them, providing for every human detail of their needs.
These healing building blocks act powerfully as we hold them in our thoughts and hearts, and while we continue to assume the Watch over the victims who so deserve love, blessings, and care – and to the fullest extent & in endless quantities.
Our healing prayers make all the difference to these people as they feel our love and prayers, upholding their lives as they find their new way in life. It brings new hope.
Offering healing means being in the position of a Witness to God’s healing power, knowing that divine, ongoing comfort, guidance, and protection are at hand operating 24/7. This is the nuts and bolts of healing prayer.
Each of us can volunteer as a Witness to healing, offering a powerful contribution to those who need our healing prayers. And each of us can be assured that by offering our healing prayers, everyone is experiencing the powerful results that would not have come had we not held our position of being the Witness.
