By sharing these steps with you, I hope you’ll feel more confidence on your path of spiritual healing.
Step #1 Don’t claim the problem as personally yours.
Chances are, if you claim it, then the next thing you’ll do is make an affirmation about it, entrenching it even further into your consciousness. For example, if you have lost your job, the automatic claim that would accompany it is, “OMG! I’ve lost my job!” Then the affirmation repeats itself over and over. And with it will be added fear and futurizing about “What if’s…., ” (i.e. What if I can’t find another job? What if I lose my home?) There’s no healing in this.
By breaking the pattern of labeling the problem, you can say to yourself instead, “Well, look at this. My job is ending. I wonder what new beginning will occur now that I’ve made room for something new and wonderful in my life?” This will open you up to healing. This can be applied to any problem such as the loss of a loved one, money, or health. It can be a problem of depression, anxiety, or a dreadful condition worsening. It doesn’t matter. All problems are subject to divine healing.
Step #2 Address the problem as a belief.
Whenever I have a new challenge, I try to become acutely, spiritually conscious and get to the place ASAP to remember, “I am of divine origin. Spirit is my nature and all is well.” Anything that interferes with that truth must be categorized as a mere belief. A statement of divine truth (which is unchanging and eternal), always trumps a belief (which is changing and mortal.)
It may take a little time to process, but you’ll watch as the problem you address as a mere belief begins to change. It is highly likely you’ll begin a discovery of something new as a result of addressing the problem as a belief and thereby cancelling the belief.
Step #3 Open yourself up to be a channel for a Higher Power of Good.
There’s great power in the act of surrendering to something greater than yourself and that you recognize as Supremely Loving and Almighty with Power. The decision of yielding is one that opens up a channel towards something new to come in. It will change you. You may even become addicted (like me!) to being a channel for the divine, all the time & as much as possible. That’s because it’s the path to miracles and glorious enlightenment that you yourself could not bring forth without the Higher Power. It’s positively healing.
Step #4 Ask your Higher Power for divine guidance.
Sometimes I have to wait for an answer. Other times, divine guidance comes almost as soon as I ask for it. Looking back over the past decades of practicing this, I can tell you that I don’t recall a time when I asked for divine guidance and didn’t get it – as long as I waited and listened for it. It’s closer than your breath. It’s already within you.
The act of asking brings it forth into conscious view. This is what I’m crazy about doing in my life. Staying close to God. Asking God for guidance through, “Please show me now.” And “What would you have me to think right now? Do right now? See right now?”
I hold onto these periods of streaming God because I know that holding on enables me to recognize when I have received guidance. I also look for synchronicities which are spontaneous occurrences of a few things coming together at once, revealing an answer I hadn’t thought of prior to this. It opens my eyes, my heart, & makes me feel connected to God.
Divine guidance generally comes quietly. Since the healing state is natural, we return to the natural state once things work out. Often times, I hardly notice when I’ve received healing. In fact, if I’m not alert, I may take it for granted that I’m feeling better and things have worked out almost effortlessly.
These simple steps will change you over time. You may have read about the siddhis in India who are amazing sages of powerful knowing and spontaneous occurrences. They often wish for something and immediately have it. They may become aware of their need and in the same moment, realize that they include the solution right before them. They are intuitive and of higher consciousness. Such is the path of a healer.
You won’t need to try to make this happen. It’s the natural occurrence when you practice these simple steps over and over. Healing becomes more automatic, effortless. You spill over with joy when you live in awareness, gratitude, surrender, & love. This practice of awareness is higher consciousness & it places you in a frame of putting everything in a new context & from a higher place. It becomes who you are and it becomes a way of living on earth.
Through these steps you can change your life and bless the lives of others around you as well as the world. Your happiness will be increased exponentially.
