What would make your top 5 on a list of ways to be good to yourself?
Perhaps one close to the top of the top 5 list would be to have more joy and laughter and less stress and worry.
Another would be to experience greater inner peace and balance through taking time in nature, meditation, yoga, journaling, and self reflection. Focus more on what you want and let the universe open it up for you. Feel the flow of gratitude and awe.
One that definitely makes my top 5 list is to eat organic, whole foods and stay way from sugar and processed foods and refined flours. Eating healthy is a learning process that can lead to feeling better overall, all the time. It supports your newly emerging, energy body.
This list is more than a wish list. It’s one that addresses your needs.
As we go deeper, one of the greatest ways to be good to ourselves is to shut down the inner critic that lives within, judging and condemning and assuring us of our inadequacy. It’s loaded with feelings of guilt, unworthiness, and shame. What an intruder! It’s got to go. But how?
Right now, take a moment to confront this bad guy. Turn to God and remember who you really are, made from the divine, made good!
Consider your true identity – beyond lifestyle, vocation, personality, skills, education, looks, or learning ability. Recall your pristine origin. You always have been and always will be existing in a realm of such wondrous beauty and love. Your nature and essence are primarily spiritual and carry goodness beyond your wildest imagination.
Within you, there is an inherent love, wisdom, and innocence. Reach for it. Disallow the inner critic from robbing you of the joy of your true who-ness. You are beautiful, grand, radiant, and worthy of all good. You deserve to be loved, and to come home to loving yourself. You qualify for bliss and greatness. You are of the highest order. You are a blessing to yourself and the universe.
Today, live as though you knew this. Envision it. Imagine it. Claim it. Allow it room to be in your conscious realm and to grow. You alone give yourself permission to release the haggard, struggling, suffering, tiredness of your miserable life! Within you lies the power of a life worth living, worthy of praise and good rumor, deserving of unreserved happiness, love, good health, and prosperity. How good are you – to yourself? There’s no end to how you can help yourself. Start today, celebrate you!
