If your mind believes that you have a problem, it has the power to manifest and out-picture it in many ways, without your awareness or permission.
That same mind can also help you to advance out of a problem. But it needs a re-set. The mental visualizations below can help you advance from believing that you are stuck in a problem.
As you read the visualizations, notice which ones help to shift you – to feel a little more distant from your problem and to give you some relief from carrying the burden of fear and worry about the problem. This helps to advance healing out of a problem.
I’ve been a spiritual healer for over the past 40 years. I’ve found these to be some of my top visualizations. See which ones work for you.
1. View yourself from an aerial view, above the view of “me and my problem.”
See yourself high above your problem. From your mile-high aerial view, see yourself far below, struggling with your problem. Name this lower view as “your story.”
Realize that, even though your story and what you tell yourself about your problem are very familiar to you, the fact is, you are not your story. Your story changes. If your story has been long term, no doubt, it has changed a lot.
As you look at it from this distant place, far below you, take a few deep breaths and have a break from your problem. Maybe journal what it’s like. Relax in this aerial view. This is very healing. You need this place of refuge.
2. View your problem as an energy.
Describe the problem to yourself as an energy. Is it moving? Static? Is it zig-zag or straight line? Is it strong or noisy? If it could talk, what kinds of things would it say? It’s just an energy, that’s all.
Let’s reclaim your own energy, the one you had before the problem. Recall standing in your place where this couldn’t touch you. It can’t.
3. View your problem as a color.
What color is it? Visualize that. What color do you need to enter and to replace the problem? Allow the healing color to come in and replace the color of the problem. Sit with this healing color. It is probably one of your soul’s colors. It carries power. Watch as the problem color vanishes, no longer part of you.
4. View the problem impersonally.
It’s just a problem. The human experience is loaded with them. Even though your problem feels very personal to you, this problem doesn’t have your name on it. It doesn’t belong to you. It can’t be imposed on you or influence you in any way. It’s just a problem. See yourself immune to the problem. Notice what happens.
5. View the darkest core of the problem.
Notice how dark and dense it is. Now imagine a powerful healing laser light coming from the outside, breaking into the problem to its darkest core area.
View the powerful laser light filling the entire area with its pure, cleansing light of love. See the area again and how there is now only the power of pure light where once the dark, dense problem existed. How does that feel now?
6. View the problem as already healed.
Assume you are already living in the place of the solution for what you’re healing. Use your imagination. “What will it look like once I’m free of the problem? How will I feel? What will I be doing?” Put yourself there. Take it in.
Once you’ve addressed your problem with your regular spiritual practices such as prayer or journaling or intuitive guidance, go ahead and assume you are in the healing place and with all your answers. Then wait. This is a place of learning. Take a moment. Acknowledge what has happened.
Healing is about out-growing prior positions of ignorance and fear. Put yourself there.
7. View your true self.
You aren’t just a human being in a human experience. You are a divine being. Invite your divine Higher Self to come in. It can influence your situation powerfully. Develop your intuition to tune in to your guides. Claim the power of your authentic self.
